Yepper, sure do! Alopecia areata...though rather than spots, it has taken over half of my noggin. For those of you who enjoy irony with a capital *I*... I am also a licensed cosmetologist! My condition has been ongoing for almost 2yrs now. I have worn wigs on and off, for the most part I have been able to camoflauge my baldy head. You know it is an issue when as a professional I can no longer hide it! LOL

At the beginning, I could not talk about what was happening to me; I was devastated. Almost everyday I would be in the shower and just wish that it would either all come back or all fall out. The half ass-ed hope of hair and the mess I would coax into a hairdo was more of a pain in the arse than anything. However, at almost 2 yrs, I am cool with the fact my hair may or may not ever come back.

i was diagnosed 2 years ago. I have always had thick and curly hair and I guess this was the last thing i expected. After bawling my eyes out and thinking any minute all my hair was going to fall out I started to invision myself with a wig. Can't picture it.
